Die Neuerscheinungen haben sich ein wenig gesammelt. Douglas Laing erweitert seine „Remarkable Regional Malt“ um einen Campbeltown Blended Malt: The Gauldrons. Ein weiterer Blended Malt kommt mit dem Smokestack von der The Vintage Malt Whisky Company. Wemyss kündigt die neuen Einzelfässer des Herbstes an. Die SMWS hat Paul John als Destillerie 134 aufgenommen und Ardbeg hat seinen Committee Mitgliedern den 23-jährgien angekündigt.

The Gauldrons
Aus der Pressemitteilung: „The Gauldrons is inspired by the eponymous dark sandy coves on Campbeltown’s west shores and literally means „bay of storms“. It was here King Robert the Bruce, having been defeated by his enemies, was encouraged, whilst watching a spider building his web with great patience but great difficulty, to try, try and try again. It is this ancient legend which is reflected in The Gauldrons packaging which features an intricate spider illustration.“

Offizielle Tasting Notes
On the nose detect a dry saltiness with sweet cereal and a late hint of gentle peat smoke. The palate is initially dry (beachy and maritime) warming to crunched sugar, barley and oak. The warmingly spiced finish brings puffs of smoke and rock pools with a dark sugar sweetness.
Smokestack
Stark getorfter Blended Malt Scotch Whisky aus Islay und Highland Destillerien. Wird mit 30 PPM hergestellt und in kleinen Batchs abgefüllt.
Offizielle Tasting Notes
- Nase: Rauchig, aber auch frisch und fruchtig, Ingwer, Zitrus, Birne; intensiv, aber nicht zu schwer
- Geschmack: Süßer, durchdringender Rauch, dennoch sehr gefällig und drinkable, ölig, Ingwer, Zitrone, Honig
- Nachklang: Die süße-ölige Rauchnote hält lang, länger, bis morgen früh

Die neu ins Programm aufgenommene Destillerie 134 ist Paul John Malts. Davon ist einer direkt zu kaufen und der andere nur per Verlosung zu bekommen. Mit je 145.- GBP sind aber beide noch dazu für einen 6-jährigen Whisky nicht ganz günstig.
Ardbeg
