Neue Springbank und Glengyle Abfüllungen
Für die Society Members von Springbank gibt es seit gestern nicht nur eine, keine zwei sondern gleich drei neue Abfüllungen. Zwei davon werden auch in den europäischen Cadenhead Shops erhältlich sein.
Das sind die drei neuen Abfüllungen:
- Springbank Green, (2nd), 13yo, 46%, 9.000 Flaschen, ca. 60.- GBP / 85.- EUR
- Springbank, 25yo, (2nd), 46%, 900 Flaschen, ca. 350.- GBP / 590.- EUR
- Kilkerran (Glengyle), Single Cask, 05/2006-10/2015, 9yo, 57.3%, 282 Flaschen, ca. 52.- GBP nur in UK!
Im letzten Jahr gab es den ersten Green und den ersten 25-jährigen.
Original Tasting Notes Green
Gemacht aus Organic Barley und in Sherry Casks gereift.
- Nose: Sweet cereal notes are accompanied with raisin butter, apple crumble, kiwi fruit and turkish delight.
- Palate: The palate is fruity with raisins and orange zest to the fore. Marzipan, vanilla and soft sherry notes are also present.
- Finish: A long, medium dry finish with classic Springbank sweet salty notes, along with hints of bung cloth and fig rolls.
Original Tasting Notes 25yo
Der neue 25-jährige reifte in einer Kombination von Sherry und Bourbon Casks und wurde in Port Casks „vermählt“, d.h. die Mischung reifte darin noch weiter.
- Nose: The nose is light and fruity with notes of red apples and blueberries. Honeycomb and milk chocolate provide a sweet creaminess, which combines well with traditional dunnage warehouse aromas.
- Palate: Very well balanced with notes of toffee apple, brandy butter, liquorice, milk chocolate and honeycomb.
- Finish: Long and bold with light spices and black pepper immediately recognisable against a backdrop of dried peat. Butterscotch follows up at the end.
Original Tasting Notes Kilkerran Single Cask
2016 wird die Schwester-Destillerie von Springbank 12 Jahre alt und wird einen 12-jährigen als erster Standard-Produkt abfüllen. Gereift ist dieser 9-jährige Single Cask in Calvados Casks.
- Nose: Green apples, grapes, pear drops, pineapple and barley sugar.
- Palate: Barley sugar is fairly prominent. Rich and buttery with stewing citrus fruits and mint.
- Finish: Long, dry with tobacco, hints of peat and earthy notes.
Alle drei Flaschen sind im Springbank Shop vor Ort in Campbeltown seit 29.10.2015 erhältlich. Die beiden Springbank werden in den kommenden Wochen in den Cadenhead Shops erhältlich sein.
