Weitere Informationen und Tasting Notes

BBR – Ardmore

Von der Produktseite: „Prior to refurbishment in the early 2000s, Ardmore produced a rather old-fashioned style of whisky, often showing a savoury side and regularly peated. The traditionally direct-fired stills gave life to a spirit of myriad tiny, characterful imperfections that forces very careful cask-selection upon us. This particular Bourbon-cask example stood out within our stocks as combining the bold, earthy peatiness inherent in the spirit, with an exuberant lick of sweet, shiny oak giving balance and coherence. We chose to bottle it at cask strength to preserve this muscular balance, although a dash of water does allow a more citrussy note to enliven the nose.
